"Love the Lord your God will all your heart, soul, mind and strength." Mark 12:30
The King's House is a group of people who have a growing passion for God. What may begin as only a spark in one's life, grows into a consuming flame of passion for a God who showed His passion for us through the sacrifice of Jesus. There is nothing more important than our passion for God continuing to grow through each passing day. It is the first and greatest commandment of all!
It has been said, "Passion is proven through pursuit." That which we are passionate about, we will pursue, not allowing obstacles and entanglements to keep us away. Therefore, we desire for our passion for God to be evident throughout our lives by the actions we take. Our faith should not be a spectator sport. We do not desire to grow a church made up of people who are looking for someplace to sit on Sunday mornings. Passion changes us and moves us to new places of growth. We expect the body's mutual passion for God to be stirring and infectious to all who attend.
We are striving to be a group of believers who have a growing passion for God evidenced by the pursuit of His values, purposes and plans in each of our lives and the life of the church.
"Love your neighbor as yourself." Mark 12:31
Passion for God should always lead to Compassion for Others. "If someone sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion, how can God's love be in that person?" (1 John 3:17). How can we be the body of Christ without being known as people of compassion?
The King's House seeks to continually grow in our love for people and their needs. Compassion is not pity, but it is the pursuit to heal, strengthen and meet needs in order for people to experience the true, genuine love of God. Where would any of us be without the compassion of God in our lives? Our lives must become the extension of God's compassion to others.
Nothing is impossible with God. We believe through our full surrender and commitment to the purposes of God, we can transform this city through compassionate ministry.
"The church does not exist for the sake of the church, but for the sake of the world" –Robert Lewis
If our focus remains "outward" and our passion "upward," there is nothing that God cannot accomplish through us!
We desire for you to join your life with us as we seek to reach a community of hurting people.
